giving back

Some might say that yoga is a gift in itself, and I am one of them. Yoga is the best gift I was able to give myself – I received so many benefits from it that it is only natural I am inclined to give something back. I feel when we spend time giving back and enriching our community we enrich ourselves – we broaden our perception of the world, we better understand the circumstances within the community and with a broad and open-minded perspective we become an empathetic citizen.

There are many ways to give back; I decided to donate my time by teaching yoga practices to better the lives of others. Currently I am volunteering as a teacher of trauma aware yoga classes for Frontline Yoga, a charity organisation that delivers yoga to the First Responders, Emergency Services and Military Veteran community.
