breathing practices

Although we all breathe, there is art and science to breathing correctly – breath is an underappreciated pillar of our health. For centuries ancient cultures used breath control to promote concentration and improve vitality. I am a huge fan of breathing practices as they changed my life forever. As someone who had severe asthma for more than 30 years, I know really well how not being able to breathe properly affects your entire life, and how breathing well improves your life. The act of breathing is extraordinary and so much depends on how we do it.

There are basic and advanced breathing techniques; all of them have to be practiced safely. Modern science has recently shown that harnessing our breath can measurably reduce stress, blood pressure, anxiety, depression, chronic headaches and asthma. As a formally trained breathwork practitioner, join me for either energising, balancing or tranquilising breathing practices that can be tailored to suit your uniqueness and needs. Science provides evidence that the benefits of this ancient practice are real, and I am a living example.
